The Laguna PTA supports Laguna Middle School programs that enrich and empower our students and build community among students, families and faculty! Join the PTA!
Laguna PTA builds community by kicking off every school year with the 7th Grade Welcome BBQ and culminating with the 8th Grade End-of-Year Picnic & Party and Awards Ceremony. Throughout the school year, Laguna PTA funds Principal's Coffees, student assemblies & parent education (e.g., five LIKE screenings for 1,200 students, staff, parents & community members) and Staff Appreciation Week.
Additionally, Laguna PTA supports our students by providing planners and notebooks for science & social science, all Student Recognition Programs, after school or lunch Clubs and assembly speakers. Laguna PTA also funds Teacher grant requests that have included Literacy Night, Ceramics Wheel for Art Class, Archery Targets for P.E., English Language Development Celebration and Special Olympics for our students.
The programs are funded primarily from the 3 Mile Run fundraiser (65% of all funding sources) through business sponsors and student pledges. The 3 Mile Run is also the only all-school community event as all 7th and 8th graders enjoy refreshments and fun activities like water balloon toss on the lower field after completing their 3 miles.
Registration Day donations of membership and planners & notebooks contribute over 20% of our funding sources. These donations to Laguna PTA Tax ID 77-0072330 are tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law (check with your tax adviser for details).
The remaining 15% is comprised of restaurant fundraisers (e.g., Chipotle on Madonna Road), Amazon Smile (choose Laguna PTA!), Benefit Mobile (2-20% of your everyday purchases) and other generous donations.
